Nursing (3+1 partnership with Allen College - Health Sciences)
For students who know their career goal is to become a nurse. There are three tracks for completion of a nursing degree at the University of Northern Iowa - the Pre-Professional nursing track, the Health Sciences 3+1 track, and the Biology 3+1 track.
Each program has its own unique features and can be a great option for students looking to pursue a career in nursing. The Nursing 3+1 Health Sciences track is housed under UNI's Individual Student program and for students considering a career in nursing, and also wanting to enhance their goals with additional coursework in health sciences.
In addition to the Pre-Nursing requirements, the 3+1 for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Sciences requires 18 credits plus 6 hours of an undergraduate thesis.
