Do you have an idea for a business? Do you want help getting started? UNI will provide the education, space and professional expertise to get your idea off the ground.

Academic entrepreneurship, available to all UNI majors, is provided through a minor or certificate in entrepreneurship. For students interested in completing a stand-alone course, two options are available: the Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute, a one-week immersive experience held in August at the Lake Okoboji or Entrepreneurial Concepts, an online introductory course.

Applied entrepreneurship, available to all UNI majors, includes three levels of service offerings designed to increase the chances for student entrepreneurial success. From networking opportunities, one-on-one business consulting services to dedicated office space, the goal is to graduate students equipped with the necessary skills and experience to make an impact on the Iowa economy and beyond.

Numerous UNIBusiness students have taken their business ideas from plan to profit – before graduation – with the help of UNI's John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center.

Check out the information found on our transfer page for tips on what you can do to hit the ground running at UNI.
