Business teachers play an important role in the development of organizational pioneers. They introduce future executives to the world of business and give them the foundation it takes to be successful. If you have a passion for teaching and are looking to mold tomorrow's business leaders, the business teaching program at the University of Northern Iowa College of Business will get you started.
A degree in business teaching will prepare you for success in the classroom by giving you the experience to teach introductory and general business classes to middle school, secondary and post-secondary students.
Faculty in the College of Education and the College of Business Administration will work together to teach you how to help students understand economic principles and their relation to business problems. In addition, our business teaching program will also assist you in becoming certified in accounting and give you a solid understanding of information technology, business law and other business subjects.
BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
UNIBusiness has received numerous accolades due to the quality of education we provide in and outside of the classroom. Our program has logged more than 31,000 hours of client project work for hundreds of Iowa and international-based companies.
As a student in the College of Business Administration, you'll have the opportunity to participate in many short- and long-term study abroad and internship programs with little financial burden. Scholarships and Fly Free make it possible to show your adventurous side and prove you're ready for business on a global scale.
Professional certification can be a deciding factor in hiring decisions, and few schools prepare their students for the exams. UNIBusiness offers certification training for the CPA, CFA Level 1, global business, Six Sigma, project management and appraisal.
